Tower Tuesdays & Jolly Thursdays 2024

Head to local parks for fun (and free!) events this June and July.

Mark your calendars for Tower Tuesdays and Jolly Thursdays, which return in June and July. All events start at 10 am. No registration is required. In case of inclement weather, check out the library’s website or call any of our branches.

Families can bring their own blankets and chairs as seating.

Tower Tuesdays

All Tower Tuesdays take place at 10 am on Tuesdays this June and July at the Tower Park Amphitheater (900 S Ft Thomas Ave, Fort Thomas, KY 41075).

June 4: Honey Hill Farm Mobile Petting Zoo

Children can interact with the animals of Honey Hill Farm. This Tower Tuesday date is during Summer Reading’s Kickoff Week! Visit with the animals and register for Summer Reading.

June 11: Talewise Science Heroes presents ‘Adventure of the Lost Treasure’

Talewise will take the audience on a treasure-hunting adventure deep within the jungle using audience participation and fun science experiments.


June 18: Foam-tastic Party!

Play in huge pile of foam at Tower Park, the perfect way to cool down from summer heat. The foam is a mix of water and a special soap solution.

The foam can be several feet deep, so we recommend wearing appropriate clothing during the event. Some children may want to bring goggles to keep the bubbles out of their eyes.

We will also have a variety of other games and activities to enjoy!


June 25: Comedy Juggler Matt Jergens

Matt Jergens has made audiences laugh for over 25 years. The gold medalist juggler will bring his talents to Tower Tuesday, featuring props like juggling pins, spinning plates, a unicycle and more.


July 9: Kentucky Reptile Zoo

Come and see, and maybe even touch, the sometimes slippery, sometimes slithery animals from the Kentucky Reptile Zoo.


July 16: Raptors Inc. presents ‘Fantastic Beasts of the Harry Potter World’

Celebrate the magical creatures that Harry and Newt cherish while discovering ones that live in your own backyard!


July 23: Arboretum on Wheels

Explore and learn with the Arboretum on Wheels, a mobile environmental education lab. Plus, enjoy nature-inspired activities, a crafts and fun games. Climb aboard the Book Bus to pick out a free read.


Jolly Thursdays

June 6: Kentucky Reptile Zoo

Interact with sometimes slippery, sometimes slithery animals from the Kentucky Reptile Zoo.


June 13: Kentucky Shakespeare presents Romeo and Juliet

Kentucky Shakespeare’s presentation of of the star-crossed Romeo and Juliet focuses on the importance of communication, healthy relationships and making good choices.


June 20: Bright Side Theatre presents Storybook Tales

Join us in the park for a fun family event as Bright Star Theatre presents Storybook Tales. They will present two classic adventures in one exciting show – Pinocchio and Robin Hood!


June 27: Talewise Science Heroes presents Adventure of the Lost Treasure

Talewise will take the audience on a treasure-hunting adventure deep within the jungle using audience participation and fun science experiments.


July 11: Bollywood Beat Dance Performance 

The Cultural Center of India will present an interactive Bollywood Beat Dance performance. These dances have a touch of tradition and include many different flavors and walks of life.

Dancers dressed in colorful costumes, intricate jewelry and theatrical makeup will entertain audiences with breath-taking footwork and ancient story-telling techniques.


July 18: Family Concert with Big Bang Boom!

Visiting us from North Carolina, these dynamic dads play upbeat, educational and interactive live music for children. BIG BANG BOOM’s live show will be energetic and fun for the whole family! Playing covers (with a twist) combined with their hard-rockin’ funky original music has kept BIG BANG BOOM in high demand.


July 25: Honey Hill Farm Mobile Petting Zoo

Come out and visit the animals of Honey Hill Farm. Everyone will also be able to pick out a book to take home from the Book Bus.
