YART: the Yard Art Sale Returns With Dozens of Artists
Newport Branch’s annual Yard Art Sale (YART) returns this November.

When: 11 am-4 pm Saturday, Nov. 12
Where: Newport Branch (901 East 6th Street)
Peruse works from dozens of local artists at this year’s YART, the Newport Branch’s annual Yard Art Sale. Everything for sale is $30 or less, making YART the perfect place to get a head start on holiday shopping.
Art and craft vendors will be spread out on both floors of the Newport Branch. There’s sure to be something for everyone on your list (including yourself!); items range from ceramics to illustrations, photography, metalwork, paintings, jewelry, textiles and more.
Registration is not required.

Friends of the Library Book Sale
The event takes place on the same Saturday as the Friends of the Library Book Sale, where you can stock up on gently used books for $3 or less. Some books are free.

Don't forget to stop by the Newport Branch's Jolabokaflod—a take on the Icelandic tradition of gifting books with the intention of them being read on Christmas Eve—on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 11 am-2 pm. The library will have books available to pick and take home for all ages! Plus, enjoy a hot cocoa bar, photo area, crafts and live music.
