Signature Series: Author Sarah Kurchak

Hear from Sarah Kurchak, author of I Overcame My Autism and All I Got Was This Lousy Anxiety Disorder, at November’s installment of Signature Series.

Kurchak’s memoir examines the detrimental effects of pretending to be normal and her impassioned call to redefine what is considered a “successful” life.

Event Details

Where: Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch (1000 Highland Ave.)

When: 7-8:45 pm Friday, Nov. 4

From autism parenting culture to love, sex, alcohol, obsessions and even professional pillow fighting, Kurchak challenges stereotypes about autism and poses the question of what might make the lives of autistic people healthier, happier and more fulfilling.

Stick around for a short reception and an opportunity to get autographs. The Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch will close early at 5 pm to prepare for the event.

Free tickets are required.

We have some big news to share! Morgan Lockard-Ellis is the new Branch Manager of our Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch. You might recognize Morgan from her time as the Adult/Teen Services Librarian. Morgan was also just named as a recipient of the Kentucky Public Library Associations Fresh Faces Award, which honors staff members that are helping to move libraries into the future. Congratulations, Morgan!
