Library Resources We’re Thankful For

November is a month of gratitude—and we have it in spades for these resources.

Job Search Help

Need help on the job search? The library is here for you! Our Cold Spring Branch has a computer desk designated for the Kentucky Career Portal, where you can search for available jobs with ease in the Bluegrass State.

Every branch also has access to desktop computers or laptops, which have everything you need to create a résumé and write a cover letter. Printing is available from all computers for a fee (black and white is $0.20 per page; color is $0.40 per page).

Need help building a résumé? Submit a request for a one-on-one technology training session with a staff member at cc-pl.org/services/technology-training. (P.S.: Technology training is available for a range of subjects, including smartphone help, navigating the internet, downloading e-books and more.)

Home Delivery Service

If you’re a resident of Campbell County and cannot visit the library due to temporary or permanent illness/disability, you are eligible for our home delivery service.

Materials available for delivery include regular print books, large print books, magazines, DVDs, audiobooks and CDs. Items are selected based on your interests and needs. The adult outreach services assistant will deliver the materials to your home on a specified day.

Read about other adult outreach services at cc-pl.org/adult-outreach-services.

Curbside Pickup

We’ll take your items straight to your car! Curbside pickup is available at all branches. Once you’re notified that your holds are ready for pickup, drive to the designated branch and park in one of the marked pick up location spots. Call the number listed on the sign. We will need your name, library card number and parking spot number.

From there, a staff member will bring your items and place them directly in your vehicle, preferably your trunk.

Universal Class

Want to learn something new free of charge? Try Universal Class! There are over 500 self-guided courses that are accessible whenever, wherever online. You can earn a certificate documenting your continuing education (CEUs), contact hours and course completion.

Request an Item

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Request that we add it to our collection! While we can’t guarantee that we’ll get everything, we certainly try our best. Items may either be purchased for our collection or borrowed from another library (via interlibrary loan).

If we’re able to obtain your request, we will contact you once it’s available! Requests can be made at cc-pl.org/services/request-an-item.

Book Care Packages

Bring the library home with a Book Care Package! Available for all ages, the library will pull up to 10 books and audio materials for an at-home story time, to assist with homework, to help you find your next favorite author or anything else you might desire a big ol’ curated stack of books for.

Visit cc-pl.org/book-care-packages to place your request. Please allow a week’s notice for our staff to pull the package together. Once completed, you will be notified when it’s ready for pickup.

Happy reading!

Our Physical & Digital Collection

Of course, we’re also thankful for our collection! From graphic novels to popular fiction to memoirs, DVDs, CDS and magazines, we have items for all interests and ages. Along with physical items, you can also check out materials from our digital collection.

Enter Libby, a free app from OverDrive that allows users to borrow e-books, audiobooks and digital magazines instantly. All you need to get started is the Libby app and your library card.
