Family STEAM Night 2023

Celebrate everything STEAM, or Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math, at the Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch. This annual festival features local presenters championing various STEAM careers, interests and topics.

Family STEAM Night coincides with STEAM Month. Spread across all branches and age groups, patrons can enjoy over 15 STEAM-related programs and activities this March. Activities include everything from virtual reality gaming to Pi Day celebrations to learning how to build a computer and flower-pounding art.

Date: 6-8 pm Saturday, March 25
Location: Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch

Bring the whole family out to a fun-filled and educational evening at the Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch.

Family STEAM Night Presenters include:

  • Foundation for Ohio River Education
  • Cincinnati Museum Center
  • Fort Thomas Forest Conservancy
  • Greater Cincinnati Civic Garden Center
  • Campbell County Emergency Management
  • Tallant Music Studio
  • Northern Kentucky University Costume Shop
  • Chris Rust of CR Carving
  • Linda Fritz of Sun Sugar Farms
  • Junior Achievement of OKI
  • Taft Museum of Art.

No registration is required.

Creator Competition

Don’t forget to cast your vote for the Creator Competition! Make LEGO or duct tape creations at home and bring them to the Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch by 5 pm on March 20 to participate.

Creations will be displayed and voted on for Best Utility and Best Art across four age groups (adult, teen, school-age, young ones) at Family STEAM Night, where the winners will be announced. Winners receive a gift card.

No registration is required. Soak up knowledge, get creative and have fun with the whole family.
