Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

All Campbell County Public Library locations are closed until further notice.

* Current information as of Friday, April 10 at 10:15 am

Due to the rapidly changing status of the virus, please visit the links below for the latest information.

Library Buildings

All branches of the Campbell County Public Library are closed until further notice. We have taken this action to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and out of consideration for the health and safety of our patrons and staff. We will continue to monitor and evaluate the COVID-19 virus. Please refer to this page for library updates.

All library programs scheduled to take place through May have been canceled. However, we have some great online programs planned. Check out the schedule at https://www.cc-pl.org/events.

Library Services

Deliveries to group homes such as nursing homes, assisted living and senior centers are suspended. Visits to daycares, preschools and schools are discontinued until further notice.

Library Materials/Donations

We are not accepting any donations of books, magazines or other items at this time.

Fines are suspended until further notice.

No library cards will expire during the closure.

The library currently has more than 30,000 items checked out. While the return item bins at our branches are open, please do not feel obligated to return items at this time. You will not accrue overdue fines while the buildings are closed.

There will be a delay in processing for all returned items. After returning an item, it will take a few days before it is removed from your account. This is because all returned items will be held in quarantine to eliminate any potential virus germs. You will not accrue any fines during the quarantine period.

There are no deliveries or returns at our Library Express units in Silver Grove or Melbourne. Only the return item bins outside of our branches are open.

All holds remain as is until we reopen our buildings. You will maintain your position in the holds queue. You are unable to place additional holds or requests on materials while our buildings are closed.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) items currently held will be available for pickup after we reopen but cannot be renewed. Requests submitted before the closure but not yet held will be processed as quickly as possible after we reopen.

Take advantage of our digital library collection, which has temporarily expanded loan limits to 15 items per patron. We have eBooks, eAudiobooks and digital magazines that you can access from home on a computer, smartphone, e-reader or tablet. All library card holders may download materials from Kentucky Libraries Unbound regardless of outstanding fines, fees or other blocks while the library buildings are closed.

You can also access our resources and databases from home. Visit https://www.cc-pl.org/resources/a-to-z for the complete list.

If you don’t currently have a library card with us, you may sign up for a digital patron card online. This card will give you access to our digital collection and all of our online resources.
