Cards for Veterans

Looking for a way to celebrate Veterans Day early? Honor local veterans by writing a letter or making a card using materials available at all of our library branches.
Cards for Veterans
When: Oct. 1-31
Where: All CCPL branches
Cards will be collected by library staff and delivered to the Fort Thomas VA Medical Center as well as local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) organizations just in time for Veterans Day on Nov. 11.
The simple gesture of a handmade card is a great way to remember and honor the service of local veterans to their country.
Materials are available in the children’s area of the Carrico/Fort Thomas, Newport and Alexandria branches; in Cold Spring, the items are in the lounge area near the public computers.

Lois Lowry is my top female author. Maya Angelou also had me rethinking my realities. Lisa Randall retooled my understanding of the galaxy, and blew my mind with branes.
