Request a Book Care Package

The library’s Book Care Package service has expanded to adults!

Adults can now request packages for all their research and entertainment needs. The service allows patrons of all ages to bring the library home.

Whether you need help with homework, are reading for fun, are searching for your next favorite series/author, or want to have an at-home story time, the library has you covered!

How it Works

The process is simple: Place a request a week in advance at your favorite CCPL branch and library staff will pull up to 10 books and audio materials that fit your interests.

Our updated submission form includes questions about your interests, genre preferences and more. You will be notified once the collection is ready for pick up at the branch of your choice.

Request a Book Care Package

The forms are now divided into five age groups: young ones, elementary school, middle school, high school and adults.

Are you requesting a Book Care Package for multiple ages? Make sure to submit a form for each age.

Please allow seven days’ notice for the library to pull your request together.

To place a request, you must have an account in good standing (fees under $10).

Mine was a paper card with a metal piece for the number to go into the machine that stamped the number on the card in the book’s pocket. It was paper instead of plastic because those were for the book mobile.

I really don't remember, it was in the 80s. I went to the original Newport and Ft. Thomas branches.

I miss my orange/green/purple library card so much 😭 it was my favorite

I have all of the top 3! My teacher card has Cam on it but it’s different than the one pictured. #havingfunisnthardwhenyouhavealibrarycard

The third one, I believe. I worked there like ten years ago almost at this point, but I remember thinking "wow, we have really spiffy cards!"

The blue one! But I think I still have the orange/green/purple one somewhere in my house

The only 3 I’ve had are the top three 🙂 Blue as a kid, multi-color when I was a college student, top right is the card I have now as a mom/homeschooler.

The blue one! 😊 I was 8 years old when I got it.

The blue one. Loved the key chain fob update to use thou.

I think blue but the orange, green and purple is my favorite!

Still have mine from when I was a kid!
