Party at the Library
Five parties. Four branches. A whole lot of fun!
The library’s adult/teen services programmers have planned bash after bash for grades 5-12 this February. There will be something for everyone, including movies, snacks, gaming, prizes and more. Go to one, go to a few or go to all; we’re just excited to see you!
Registration is required for each party, unless noted. Read on for the lineup.
Shiny Pokémon Party
When: 4:30 pm Thursday, Feb. 1
Where: Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch
Gotta catch them all! Head to the Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch for all-things Pokémon. Watch the anime, play games and enjoy themed crafts. Feel free to bring your own gaming systems or trading cards.
Birthday Party
When: 3-5 pm Wednesday, Feb. 7
Where: Newport Branch
Who says you can’t celebrate a birthday just because? Out with the rules! The Newport Branch is throwing a birthday party complete with cake, games and maybe even a piñata. The best part? Everyone is invited! Mark your calendars. No registration is required.
Super Mario Party
When: 4-6 pm Friday, Feb. 16
Where: Alexandria Branch
Mamma Mia! Jump on over to the library (and be wary of any Koopas on your way) to play Mario Party Superstars on the Nintendo Switch. Eat snacks and craft in between rounds.
After Hours Party
When: 5-8 pm Saturday, Feb. 24
Where: Newport Branch
Hang out at the Newport Branch after closing time. The night will be filled with games, movies and snacks. Leave with party favors and, if you’re lucky, a prize! See you there!
Hoppy Leap Day Party
When: 6-7:30 pm Thursday, Feb. 29
Where: Cold Spring Branch
It’s a Leap Year! That means this February has an extra day, a perfect excuse to throw a frog-themed bash. Hop to the Cold Spring Branch and stick around to celebrate all things froggy! 🐸 Activities include brushing up on frog-and-toad trivia, a relay race and a frog-themed take on musical chairs, ahem, lily pads. May the best frog win! Plus, receive a goodie bag filled with fun surprises.
