Graphic Novels at the Library

Learn about two upcoming children and teen programs about graphic novels!

Programs

These programs will be conducted via Zoom. Registration is required. On the day of the program, we will email you with the link to join the live program. You are not required to have a Zoom account.

Children, tweens and teens are welcome at both programs.

Graphic Novel Writing Group

Via Zoom

Chat about your favorite graphic novels, share your work and get feedback from others. Plus, get tips from published graphic novel authors and artists. Attendees will have a chance to win some graphic novels just for attending!

How to Make a Graphic Novel with Shannon Wright

Saturday, Feb. 20
10 – 11 am
Via Zoom

Learn about the art of cartooning with Shannon Wright, illustrator of the graphic novel Twins, during this Zoom event. Wright has taught a comics course at Virginia Commonwealth University, and her artwork has been featured in the likes of The Guardian, TIME Magazine, NPR and Google. Shannon also provided illustrations for books by Celia C. Perez, Ilyasah Shabazz and others.

Attendees will be entered in a drawing for a copy of Twins!
