Kentucky Reads: “All the King’s Men” Book Discussion

Kentucky Humanities announces Kentucky Reads, a statewide literacy initiative centering on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel All the King’s Men by Kentucky native Robert Penn Warren. For more information on Kentucky Reads and events taking place throughout the state, visit kyhumanities.org.

Joining us will be Dr.  Michael Baranowski, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Northern Kentucky University, to lead a thoughtful and engaging discussion of the book.

Books are available to those interested in the discussion to check out, a hold will be placed on a copy for those that register for the event.

About All the King’s Men:

Set in the 1930s, this Pulitzer Prize-winning novel traces the rise and fall of demagogue Willie Stark, who begins his political career as an idealistic man of the people but soon becomes corrupted by success and caught between dreams of service and an insatiable lust for power.
