DIY Tutorial: Unicorn Piggy Bank
Make your own unicorn to keep any loose change safe and sound.
The tutorial was created by Samantha Rouse, the adult/ teen programmer at our Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch. If you have any questions about the tutorial, please email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Wooden unicorn piggy bank
- Pastel paint pots
- Paint brushes
Gather all the materials needed for this project in front of you. You may want to place newspaper down where you plan on painting your piggy bank.
Once all of your supplies are ready, you can begin painting. This is where you can be creative and let your ideas take over!
After you have finished painting your unicorn, let it dry overnight. Your piggy bank is ready to be used once it is dry!
- To get the change out of your piggy bank, use a small Phillips head screwdriver to remove the stopper on the bottom.
- You may want to cover the plastic panels with something when painting your bank so they remain clear.
