  • The 2018 Danny Miller Memorial Let's Talk About it Lecture Series at Cold Spring, in which NKY faculty lead book discussions, kicks off Tuesday, Sept. 4 as Professor Nancy Jentsch discusses "The Reader" by Bernhard Schlink. Also, on Tuesday, Sept. 18, Associate Professor Caryn Connelly discusses "The Story of My Teeth" by Valeria Luiselli.
  • The Signature Series returns 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Carrico/Fort Thomas, with a very special and moving presentation by holocaust survivor Dr. Al Miller.
  •  Browse and purchase affordable art for everyone at YART: Yard Art Sale 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Newport.
  •  A new program, Alexandria After School, begins at our Alexandria Branch for 1st-5th graders. On Wednesday, Sept. 12, learn about leaves and make leaf prints; on Wednesday, Sept. 26, learn about volcanoes and make a baking soda and vinegar volcano.

  • Get fit and have fun with Zumba classes taught by certified instructor Billie Jo at 6 pm Tuesdays, Aug. 7 and 21 at Cold Spring.
  • Two cool programs for gardeners are coming to Carrico/Fort Thomas. Create your own Painted Rock Cactus Garden at 1 pm Wednesday, Aug. 15, or 6:30 pm Thursday, Aug. 16 (repeat program); and learn about Container & Raised Bed Gardening at 1:30 pm Wednesday, Aug. 22.
  • Newport's the place you'll want to be to learn about Photography (6:30 pm Monday, Aug. 20) and Fly Fishing (10:30 am Saturday, Aug. 25).
  • Calling all Trainers! Alexandria will host its first Pokémon Club, 4 pm Wednesday, Aug. 22 for ages 6 & up.
