DIY Tutorial: Lavender Painting

Supplies Needed
- Canvas
- Cotton swab
- Paint (green, purple, white and black)
- Wooden skewer
- Sponge brush (or large brush)
Step 1
Create an even background by using white and purple paint. You can mix the paint straight on the canvas with your sponge brush to create your ideal background.
Step 2
Next, coat your wood skewer in green paint and lay it flat on your canvas to create stems. Add as many as you would like. Feel free to get creative and don’t worry too much about making it “perfect”.
Step 3
Use a cotton swab with purple paint to add dots to your stems. Create different shades of purple by mixing your white and black paints with the purple to add more dots of different colors.
Step 4
Last, use your white paint to create some highlights on the stems.
Step 5
Let dry completely and enjoy your new painting!
