Arts & Culture: MUSE Choir Presents ’emBODY Diversity’

Friday, May 17, 2024
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The library is excited to welcome MUSE Cincinnati Women’s Choir to the Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch.

MUSE’s performance, “emBody diversity,” aims to empower and enlighten; through song, they advocate for the autonomy of bodies and uplifting differences through lenses of gender, size, disability and race, by composers who live in these spaces themselves.

From incisive texts about society’s need for change to tongue-in-cheek messages about body image, the program spans the gamut of genres from pop, protest anthem and choral art song.

Arts & Culture is a series featuring some of Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati’s best orchestras and choirs.

About MUSE

Muse is one of the oldest social justice women’s choirs in the United States.  It was founded in 1984 by Catherine Roma, a founding conductor and organizer of the US women’s choral movement.
