Join us at the Cold Spring branch as we discuss the classics! This month, learn all about how vampires are depicted in film.
Inspired by previous years’ Shaking Up Shakespeare and Autumn with Austen series, Fall into Literature is an annual short program series taking place at the Cold Spring branch, where we will “shake up” the ways in which you view pieces of classic literature. This year, join us as we delve into the horrors of Bram Stoker’s classic vampire novel, Dracula! Stoker’s work has been the inspiration for countless versions of The Count, and elements can be seen in all types of media. Join us each month as we explore Stoker’s influence on vampirical lore through lectures on the novel itself, horror attraction design, and cinematic vampirism!
This month, join us for a virtual presentation from Steven Frenzel as he discusses “Provocative Vampires in the Movies,” all about how vampires have been portrayed in media.
