  • Why did you want to serve on our board?
    • I love the library. It reaches out to every single person in the community. It provides materials and services to parents, children, teenagers, adults and senior citizens. I want to contribute to its mission.
  • What is your favorite library memory?
    • I loved the bookmobile that visited my elementary school. That’s how I got my first library card. I thought it was so cool that I could pick any book I wanted, borrow it, take it home and then exchange it for another one.
  • What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today?
    • This one came from dad: Listen to others respectfully, even when you disagree.
  • If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
    • New York City. I have visited briefly. I would love to stay longer. What an amazing city! So much to see!
  • What’s the most unusual thing in your desk drawer?
    • A light bulb (because you never know when you’ll need a spare).
  • Please share a fun fact that people might be surprised to know about you.
    • My wife and I like to visit covered bridges.
  • What is your all-time favorite book?
