The proverb, or curse, “may you live in interesting times,” certainly applies for the journalists covering national politics and policy in 2020. Impeachment. A pandemic. A resurgence of concern about systemic racism. And, of course, an election. It’s been nothing if not interesting. Julie Pace, the Washington bureau chief for The Associated Press, will reflect on her reporting team’s challenges, talk about AP’s decision-making about its coverage, and provide and inside view of journalism in the nation’s Capital City.
