What is the meaning and history of race in America?  A multi-year project at Northern Kentucky University led by professor Dr. Joan Ferrante examines those questions through artistic interpretations that challenge our assumptions about what it means to be “white appearing” or “black appearing”  The project includes film, music, dance, poetry, and other art forms- all of it the work of NKU students.  As we understand this history better through the students’ work, might it inform a way forward for us today as we struggle toward justice and against systemic racism?  Learn more about this project at https://www.mourningthecreationofracialcategoriesproject.org
