Northern Kentucky Health Department Mobile Unit

The Northern Kentucky Health Department will visit our Fort Thomas Branch with the Mobile Health Unit.

What’s Available?

  • Naloxone Distribution: Learn how to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses. We will be providing naloxone, a life-saving medication, and training on its proper use.
  • Safer Sex Supplies: Access to condoms and other safer sex supplies, along with educational materials on sexual health.
  • Treatment Resources: Connect with information and referrals for substance use disorder treatment and mental health services.
  • Testing Services Information: On site testing services for HIV, HCV, and Syphilis. Education and linkage to care resources will be provided.

Why This Matters:

  • We understand that accessing health resources can sometimes be challenging. By bringing these services to the library, we aim to:
  • Reduce barriers to essential health supplies and information.
  • Promote prevention.
  • Connect individuals with needed resources and support.
  • Foster a safe and supportive community environment.
