Gone in the Fog: the story of Cheryll Spegal’s Disappearance

Wednesday, October 20, 2021
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us at the Cold Spring Branch as Beth Rust Rowland tells us about the disappearance of Cheryll Spegal on a foggy morning in October 1971 and Beth’s personal journey in tracking down the person behind the disappearance and murder of a local fifth grade student from Highland Heights Elementary.

Beth Rust Rowland

Beth Rust Rowland is a native of Cold Spring and currently resides in California, Ky. When she’s not investigating and writing about unsolved cold cases, she’s busy teaching music at Highlands Middle School and spending time at home with her husband Micheal, their three kids, and their numerous farm animals.

Beth began her research into the story of Cheryll with a simple question as she states on her blog Gone in the Fog, “It all started with a small moment, really. A simple question asked to me in a quiet whisper.”
