Our library staff is happy to help with one-on-one classes. You can request a tech help appointment by submitting the form below or calling your preferred branch.

Let us know your topic of interest and what kind of help you’re looking for! Training sessions will be conducted at the library using your personal devices or our equipment.

The library’s technology training is focused on specific needs related to working on a device or learning a specific aspect of a software or app. For more in-depth training, please refer to the collection of self-paced courses available with your library card on Universal Class.

Groups Requesting an Outreach Class

Technology training can also be scheduled for your group or organization by submitting the form below. Please fill in the contact information for the main contact for your group and select “Outreach” as the location. In the “Describe the type of help you are requesting” box, please let us know the size of your group and where your meeting will be held. Please indicate in the the last box of the form if your group will be using their own devices or if the library should provide devices to use during the training.

You understand that by requesting such assistance, you are providing CCPL with access to and limited control of your computer or mobile device. In doing so, you could be providing CCPL with access to files that reside on your computer or mobile device. Therefore, you accept responsibility for any changes made to the desktop content or system settings. CCPL does not assume and is not responsible for any liability for the linking and viewing of any desktop content. CCPL recommends that for your security and privacy, you exit any open applications that contain personal or confidential information before the training begins. Other than as set in these terms, you agree that CCPL has no responsibility or liability under any circumstance at any time for any loss or harm as a direct or indirect result of actions taken during technology training sessions.

What devices can be used?

Desktop computers, laptops, phones and tablets may be used.

Some system requirements may be discussed with your staff trainer for older devices. Know that there may be some limitations on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.

What is educational technology?

The library has a collection of technology devices that can be used for educational purposes. Tutors, teachers and other educators may use the devices in the library with the assistance of one of our librarians. You may use these devices with your students to learn or try out a new technology to see if you want to use it in your own classroom.

Some of these devices may require an iPad or laptop. You may use one from the library or bring your own from home.
