Opening Reception – Traveling Exhibition: Lineillism Revealed

Friday, May 18, 2018
6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

In 2000, local artist Jim “J.C.” Hall suffered an intense attack of shingles, which caused him to see in vertical lines. He began painting what he saw, creating a new art technique, “Lineillism.”  Join us as we celebrate the art and life of Jim Hall Friday, May 18 – 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. at an opening reception for Lineillism Revealed, a traveling exhibit showcasing Mr. Hall’s paintings. The event will also feature a special screening of the award-winning documentary Lines of Sight, presented by film and exhibit creator Steve Oldfield.  Mr. Oldfield is a native of Bellevue, Kentucky. The film screening begins at 6:30 p.m. on the main level of the Library followed by an opportunity to tour the exhibit.  Doors open at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served in the Community Room.
