The Northern Kentucky Health Department will visit our Fort Thomas Branch with the Mobile Health Unit.
What’s Available?
- Naloxone Distribution: Learn how to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses. We will be providing naloxone, a life-saving medication, and training on its proper use.
- Safer Sex Supplies: Access to condoms and other safer sex supplies, along with educational materials on sexual health.
- Treatment Resources: Connect with information and referrals for substance use disorder treatment and mental health services.
- Testing Services Information: On site testing services for HIV, HCV, and Syphilis. Education and linkage to care resources will be provided.
Why This Matters:
- We understand that accessing health resources can sometimes be challenging. By bringing these services to the library, we aim to:
- Reduce barriers to essential health supplies and information.
- Promote prevention.
- Connect individuals with needed resources and support.
- Foster a safe and supportive community environment.
