Manga to Anime Club – Assassination Classroom by Yusei Matsui

Join us at the Alexandria Branch for Manga to Anime Club at 5 pm Wednesday, Aug. 13! Each month, we read the first volume of a manga series, watch the first episode of the anime and then have a discussion about both. Light snacks will be provided.

For August, we will be discussing Assassination Classroom by Yusei Matsui.

When the misfits of Class 3-E get stuck with a smiley-faced, octopus-tentacled schoolteacher with bizarre superpowers, they discover they have a lot to learn.

Koro Sensei has already blown up the moon. He promises not to do the same to the Earth on one condition: he gets to teach a certain junior high school remedial class for one year. In addition, he will allow the students to attempt to take him out at any time without retaliating, and whoever succeeds gets a huge cash reward from the Ministry of Defense. However, the students of Class 3-E are now the only ones standing in the way of the destruction of the planet!
