RESCHEDULED: Cold Spring Stargazers Club
Thursday, January 6, 2022
6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
THIS HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 13TH
The Cincinnati Observatory will join the Stargazers Club at the Cold Spring Branch to host a Star Party! They will give a lecture about the local night sky. If the sky is clear, they’ll also put out e high-powered telescopes so we can study the stars!
The mission of the Cincinnati Observatory is to maintain the integrity and heritage of a historic 19th-century observatory and to educate, engage, and inspire our community about astronomy and science.
Join others as we study the night sky as it grows dark in January, track the moon and even study constellations using the Orion SkyQuest XT6 Classic Dobsonian Telescope.
Be part of the NASA Citizen Science club where amateur astronomers can provide NASA with real information from our local area night sky. Register now as spots are limited!
There will be a back up date due to possible bad weather or cloudy skies: Thursday, January 13th.
All state and federal COVID-19 mandates will be followed. If Campbell County is ORANGE or above on the Kentucky Department for Public Health’s COVID-19 Dashboard, everyone, age 6 or older, who attends library programs are required to wear masks. Please note any accommodation requests in the Special Needs section of the registration form.
If you have any accommodation requests or questions please contact Clara at cgerner@cc-pl.org.
