July “Connections” Newsletter
Read all about the Summer Reading grand finale and Art After Hours in the July issue of “Connections,” our monthly newsletter. Art After Hours showcases the works of a diverse collection of local artists, including the designers at Fort Thomas Florist & Greenhouses, which provides florals for the event. The event is 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 27, at our Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch. More highlights from the July issue:
- Two new book clubs debut in July. At 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, Coffee & Conversation meets at Carrico/Fort Thomas, with a discussion of “The Burgess Boys” by Elizabeth Strout. Coffee & Conversation will meet the second Wednesday of each month. At 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 19, our newest book club arrives at our newest branch as the Alexandria Book Club debuts with a discussion of “Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore” by Robin Sloan. The club will meet the third Thursday each month.
- Solve a mystery and Escape from the Library, Saturday, July 14 at Cold Spring.
- Enjoy Late Night Star Gazing with the Cincinnati Observatory, along with a screening of “Apollo 13,” Friday evening, July 20 at Newport.
- It’s Family Fun Night: Harry Potter Birthday Bash, Thursday, July 26, at Newport.
