Spotlight Series: Harriett Beecher Stowe in Cincinnati

Before writing “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” Harriet Beecher Stowe’ lived in Cincinnati and sometimes taught in Northern Kentucky.  Learn more about the woman Abraham Lincoln credited with writing the book that started the Civil War and her time in Cincinnati.

 

Harriet Beecher Stowe House

Located at 2950 Gilber Ave, the Harriet Beecher Stowe House is now a museum dedicated to Harriet and her family.

COVID-19 Precautions

Everyone, age 3 or older, who attends library programs will be required to wear masks.  This is in keeping with recommendations for group gatherings as library programs require closer proximity for longer periods of time.
