ASL Basics for You!

American Sign Language (ASL) is a natural way to communicate, expressed by movements of the hands and face. In addition to long-term cognitive benefits of learning another language, signers tend to have increased spatial reasoning and broader sensitivity to those around them. Attendees will gain a primer into this inclusive language, and encouragement for continued use in their own lives.

Instructor: Dawn Caudill is the Chairperson and a professor in the Interpreter Training Program at Cincinnati State. She has been teaching sign language on a collegiate level and to the community for over 30 years. She loves sharing her knowledge and love of the language with others.

All state and federal COVID-19 mandates will be followed.

If Campbell County is RED on the Kentucky Department for Public Health’s COVID-19 Dashboard, everyone, age 2 or older, who attends library programs are required to wear masks.
