Attended University of Louisville for college and law school
Currently practicing in the areas of local government, school law and litigation at Adams Law, PLLC.
Current city/Hometown
I live in Union, but I consider all of Northern Kentucky my home. I was born in Covington, raised in Newport, and I’ve lived in all 3 counties.
Why did you want to serve on our board?
I grew up using the Campbell County Public Library. With my practice, I know how important library services are to the community. In addition, as a mom to young children I now use the libraries throughout Northern Kentucky for great programs, books and just to play.
What is your favorite library memory?
I get a new favorite library memory every time I take my daughters to events at the library.
What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today?
My mom always used to say “If it ain’t fun, don’t do it.” I don’t approve of the grammatical choice, and I can’t say I always get to live up to it, but I try to have fun when I can.
If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Greece because I was a philosophy major in college and would love to see the ruins.
What’s the most unusual thing in your desk drawer?
Steak sauce. It is a memento from a trial I did last year where I used steak sauce as an analogy. Fortunately, we won and the client sent me a bottle of steak sauce as a memento and joke. I will keep it forever.
Please share a fun fact that people might be surprised to know about you.
I love to sing. I think I’m pretty good, even though my daughter always yells at me to stop.
What is your all-time favorite book?
I can’t really answer this question. There are so many, and I tend to read everything. I will say that I have had a soft spot in my heart for Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. since high school and have read all of his books.
