This month's book:

 Poison by Chris Wooding

Poison, is pale with long black hair and violet eyes. Her story and struggle are at the center of this dark gothic horror story. Poison is 16, when her little sister is stolen from her crib and a changeling is left in her place. No one is willing to do anything about it except Poison, so she sets off leaving the Black Marshes, the only area she has ever known to try to find her sister. She picks up friends and companions along the way. What serves her best is her knowledge of “old stories” that were in the library. The reader will also know some of the stories as they unfold. As the story progresses, she meets Phaeries, Spiders and a host of other odd creatures. The ending will keep you guessing to the end and long after you've stopped reading.
