SERVICES EXPLAINED:

Located in the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area, the Library issues a free library card to anyone who lives, works, or owns property in Campbell County. A parent's signature is required for all children under 17. Anyone who holds a current library card from any GCLC library or a public library in Kentucky is also eligible for a free library card.

Services offered by the library include:


Outreach and Book Buddies
The Library provides materials and deposit collections to institutions and those who are homebound. Book Buddies is a special service that utilizes volunteers to deliver library materials to homebound adults. Contact the Outreach Department via email or at 781-6166 ext. 29, for more information.


Special Programs
Regularly scheduled children's programs include story time for preschoolers and toddlers and a summer reading program for all ages. Programs of interest to adults include formal presentations, informal book discussions, and an adult summer reading program. See the events pages for events at individual branches (Cold Spring / Ft. Thomas / Newport).


Speaker's Bureau
The Library offers speakers on a variety of topics that may be of interest to your organization. We provide this service free of charge. Requests to Campbell County organizations will have priority; however, presentations to established groups within the Greater Cincinnati area will be considered. Internet
Free internet service is available at all branches. Basic technology classes are offered -- check the events section of individual branches (Cold Spring / Ft. Thomas / Newport) for dates and times.


Interlibrary Loan
Campbell County Library patrons have access to 1,400 libraries throughout the Southeast Library Network through our Interlibrary Loan Department. For more information about Interlibrary Loan, you can contact ILL via email or at 572-5035 ext. 32


Book Kits
The Campbell County Public Library, in cooperation with the Greater Cincinnati Library Consortium, offers patrons access to Book Discussion kits. Each book title has been made into a kit that includes a bag with twelve paperback copies of the title, author information, discussion questions, and reviews. In the database at GCLC you can find the available titles and authors, a brief description of the story, and the location and contact information for each kit. To reserve a kit from any of these libraries, please contact the Interlibrary Loan Department of the Campbell County Public Library (see the entry above), and they will get the kit for you.
