Description

Join us for the second of four presentations in the 2017 Danny Miller Memorial Let's Talk About It Lecture and Discussion Series. This longtime fall tradition of programming at the Cold Spring Branch is sponsored by The Friends of Campbell County Public Library in partnership with the English Department of Northern Kentucky University.

Faith Benson will discuss Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451.  A dystopian novel about a terrifying future in which the job of American firemen is to burn books.  The novel touches on themes such as censorship, resistance to conformity, and the control of society through mass media.

Faith Benson is an English Instructor at Northern Kentucky University.

Interlibrary loan copies of each Let's Talk About It selection will be available at the Cold Spring Branch two weeks in advance of the respective program. Limited copies are available from the Library's collection. Whether you actively participate in the discussion following the lecture, or choose to simply listen to comments offered by others, the Let's Talk About It Series provides an opportunity to learn more about great books and authors. Registration is required.

The Campbell County Public Library wishes to thank Friends of the Library for their support in helping to make this event possible.
