GCLC Memory Project
The Greater Cincinnati Library Consortium has compiled a database of pre-1940 photographs, postcards, and slides depicting local landmarks, events, and people. This collection of over 5,000 images is growing and is searchable on the Web.
Kenton County Public Library
Recognized as the major center of Northern Kentucky historical and genealogical sources. You can access these materials by visiting the Main library in downtown Covington.

The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County

One of the best genealogy research collections in the country. You can access these materials by visiting the History and Genealogy Department at the Main Library in downtown Cincinnati. The librarians in this department also teach free classes on researching your genealogy.

The Campbell County Historical and Genealogical Society

A center for historical information specifically about Campbell County, Kentucky. The Society has published 25 books on local history and they are available for purchase. The office in the Alexandria Courthouse contains: a library with microfilm and microfische, books, and magazines, an 1883 atlas of Campbell, Boone, and Kenton Counties, veteran's information, and a museum room with artifacts. The Society is run by volunteers.

Cincinnati Historical Society Library

Located in the Cincinnati Museum Center, this library is a collection of historical information about Cincinnati and the region.
East Row Historic Foundation

This foundation is responsible for the preservation of homes and other buildings in the East Row Historic District of Newport. It sponsors tours of the homes and also educates people about preservation and restoration of older buildings.
Kenton County Historical Society

Newport Historic Preservation Office

This office answers questions about restoring buildings and neighborhoods in Newport.
