CCPL welcomes new Early Literacy Outreach Programmer

Our busy Early Literacy Outreach Department has a new face.

Stacey Venneman was born and raised right here in Campbell County. After graduating from Highlands High School in 2011, Stacey went on to pursue a Bachelor’s in English from Transylvania University.

With degree in hand, she returned to the area and her long-time employer, Aunt Kathy’s Child Care in Highland Heights. She joins our team from there.

Stacey says she loves working with kids. Her all-time favorite children’s book is “I Want My Hat Back” by Jon Klassen.

Stacey will help librarian Carol Freytag with her early literacy outreach efforts. Each month, our Early Literacy Outreach team helps teachers and childcare providers in the area prepare children for kindergarten with story times, teacher collections and educational opportunities.

If your child is in daycare or preschool during the day in Campbell County, encourage them to set up a time for our Early Literacy Outreach team to visit to do a story time. The kids love when Carol or Stacey visits and it’s free!

Welcome, Stacey!
