  • Why did you want to serve on our board? Public libraries provide access to materials to all members of the community.  I wanted to be a part of such an important organization.
  • What is your favorite library memory? I remember going to the library in Alexandria when it was located in the basement of the former Alexandria City building.
  • What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today? Be kind.
  • If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Italy.  I would love to see the old buildings.
  •  What’s the most unusual thing in your desk drawer? A pair of slippers.
  •  Please share a fun fact that people might be surprised to know about you. When I was a kid, I would go hunting with my brother.
  • What is your all-time favorite book? The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey.
