    • Public libraries provide access to materials to all members of the community. I wanted to be a part of such an important organization.
  • What is your favorite library memory?
    • I remember going to the library in Alexandria when it was located in the basement of the former Alexandria City building.
  • What “lesson from mom” do you still live by today?
    • Be kind.
  • If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
    • France. I would love to see the architecture and art.
  • What’s the most unusual thing in your desk drawer?
    • A pair of slippers.

    • When I was a kid, I would go hunting with my brother.
